Designed specifically for use with Lodge's line of camping and kitchen Dutch ovens, this 8-inch meat rack/trivet prevents meat, crusts, and other foods from burning by raising them off the pan's bottom surface. Alternately, chefs can use the device as an attractive stovetop trivet. The rack won't harm cooking performance, as its cast-iron construction heats just as efficiently as the Dutch oven it sits in. As with all Lodge Logic items, the rack is preseasoned through a proprietary "electrostatic" vegetable oil spray system. The preseasoning process readies the rack for cooking right out of the box, making it far more convenient than old-style cast-iron accessories that required oil and oven seasoning before use. The timesaving process also generates a nonstick finish that helps preserve the cookware for generations while crafting an attractive heirloom appearance. Lodge recommends hand washing the rack with a stiff brush and hot water for best results. The rack measures 8 inches in diameter and fits all Lodge 4-quart and larger Dutch ovens. It also comes with a lifetime warranty.
